Phillip Anyanwu Billing who helped English side Bournemouth return to the Premier League has settled for Denmark instead of Nigeria. The 26-year-old midfielder made the decision during a UEFA Nations League match between Denmark and Austria when he came in as a substitute for Denmark. The decision means he has sealed his allegiance with Denmark and will never play for Nigeria. Billing who was born to a Nigerian father and a Danish mother turned down offers made to play for the Super Eagles in 2018. His decision now leaves him with an opportunity to compete favourably for a shirt in the Danish squad, having improved in his performances during the years. Billing has scored 10 goals, 10 assists in 40 games for Bournemouth in the last season, helping his side to find their way to Premier League
