A good number of fans who came to watch the match between Kano Pillars and Rangers International on Sunday have described Pillars captain as someone who is not worthy of being a leader.

The Pillars captain threw caution to the wind when he launched an attack on the match referee also inciting his teammates to do same.

“For a captain of a team, he should be seen as being a good example and not a bad one” a fan who spoke to www.simag.com.ng said.

“Ali descended to such intolerable manner and if he could do such in an away match, he probably will do worse if the match was played at Kano” another fan said.

One fan who expressed his displeasure on the conduct of the captain said “He (Ali) should be stripped off his captaincy, and it will be a show of shame if Pillars returned him as captain after serving the 12 match ban”.

Rabiu Ali has been banned from all activities of the NPFL and also a 12 match ban handed to him. It is expected that he will either accept or appeal against the charges within 48 hours.
