The National Chairman of the Nigeria Football Supporters Club Rev (Amb) Samuel Ikpea has told members of the Rangers FC of Enugu Supporters Club to calm down and take the situation easy.

Ikpea who reacted to an online news making wave about a staged protest made by Rangers FC Supporters Club following their poor performance after three matches said this was not necessary.

"Rangers FC Supporters Club have to calm down" Ikpea started. "Football is not a game where you win always, at times you experience bad moment and protesting will not solve the situation"

"I am sure the players and technical crew are not happy with the current result, but when the fans come out like this to protest, it will put more fear into the team and situations can get worse".

"We have seen cases all over the world where big European clubs like Real Madrid, Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool, Arsenal and others face worse situations after spending millions of pounds, yet they find it difficult to achieve their goal, but they have to keep trying and trying, am sure they will get it right".

"What the team needs now is encouragement, and only the fans can do that. Protesting is definitely not the solution" Ikpea advised from the National Secretariat of the Apex Supporters Club in Lagos.

Amb. Ikpea who is also Santos FC Ambassador in Nigeria has always advocated for peace among football fans at all levels, he also played a very important role to maintain peace when the Super Eagles of Nigeria failed to qualify for the Qatar World Cup after the 1-1 draw against Black Stars of Ghana at the MKO Abiola Stadium in Abuja.
