The Sierra Leone Female Football Veteran (SLFFV) has charged the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) to investigate reported cases of sexual harassment of female players.

The charge was made in a statement signed by the Acting Secretary General of SLLFFV Adama P. Suma and approved by the President Musu Pele Bangura on October 28, 2021. The statement reads:

The Sierra Leone Female Football Veteran (SLFFV) does not tolerate any form of harassment, sexual misconduct or intimidation on our female players, and we expect all others to hold themselves to the same standard. We first learned of the allegations of sexual harassment and intimidation at the Female National Teams through disturbing audios and WhatsApp messages and the press releases SLFA made recently. We are deeply concerned by what we are hearing and expect a full and independent investigation of what transpired. We expect the SLFA to take swift actions upon completion of the investigation against any transgressions, while taking measures to protect the women and girls complainant and all who may come forward to testify. We will be monitoring the situation closely to determine how SLFA response to this situation. Furthermore we will be meeting with SLFA to know what protections and procession they have in place to safeguard our women and girls not to undergo such in the future again. We are encouraging all other victims to come forward with their complaints and evidences and we are assuring them of our protection towards them.
