National President of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Sir Honour Sirawoo has officially been assigned to the Sports Ministry in Rivers State.
The development came following a letter issued to him on Wednesday evening by the Governor, Barr. Nyesom Wike which officially assigned him there.
It is expected that the national SWAN boss will resume duty in the Sports Ministry on Thursday March 4, 2020 as the permanent secretary.
On Tuesday March 3, Governor Wike had Sirawoo and 17 others sworn-in as Permanent Secretaries. Although, portfolios were not assigned to them.
That also gave room for lots of mind-games on whether the SWAN boss would be assigned to a terrain he is familiar with. But that game soon came to an end following the letter issued to him take charge at the Ministry of Sports.
The SWAN boss who started his career in the civil service as a Sports Editor with Rivers State Television in 1996, will have to finally fit into the hole which is arguably the best for him.
